Withdraw from courses – Vocational, Continuing Studies or Apprenticeship programs

It is important to be aware of the deadlines for withdrawing from courses at 91̽. Check the specific withdrawal policies for vocational courses, continuing studies and apprenticeship programs as they may differ from semester-based program withdrawals. If you’re enrolled in a hybrid vocational program (i.e., human service worker or therapist assistant), you can withdraw from university courses the same way as academic courses.

Withdrawing from a vocational program or hybrid vocational program

  1. Talk to the Chair: Speak with the Chair of your program.
  2. Form submission: The Chair will submit a vocational termination form to the registration/administration office on your behalf.

Important note: The deposit is non-refundable. If your program is longer than 16 weeks and you withdraw within the first 16 weeks, you'll receive a refund for the remaining weeks. However, no refund is given after the 16th week.

Withdrawals prior to the start of class

1.  Apprenticeship students who withdraw from an apprenticeship program prior to the start date of the class may apply for a refund under the following conditions and deadlines:

  • 30+ days prior to the start of class: a full refund, less the non-refundable fee of $200, will be issued.
  • 29 days to the last business day prior to the start of the class: refund of ancillary fees only.

2. Apprenticeship students who are deemed, by 91̽, to be inadmissible to attend the program will receive a full refund of the deposit.

Withdrawals after the class start date:

Apprenticeship students who withdraw or are removed from a program due to absenteeism or academic performance will not receive a refund.

91̽ cancels an apprenticeship class:

If 91̽ cancels or changes an apprenticeship program, students can apply for a full refund or transfer their payment to another available intake within the same funding period (April 1 - March 31).

Important note: Refunds are paid to the student unless there is a sponsorship letter on file. In that case, the refund goes directly to the employer or company.
